Hollowed
This large work was created to be the centerpiece of Amanns’ first solo exhibit.This piece began with a knife and a lighter. From there, layers of acrylic paint were added on for texture and vibrance. Unsure of the exact message, Amanns took time to process everything that happened in the past year and decided to write out four of her poems. Love, Abuse, Mental Health, and Time became the themes of this hollowed out work. Each coming together to support the title of the show: Heavy Head. Amanns finished off the piece by adding her trademark linework.
