Existentialism and Anger
Without much thought but with a whole lot of feeling, a knife was driven through this formerly blank canvas. After staring at it for a while, Amanns decided to do what she had done with all her other sliced works: set it on fire.This piece is the first subjectless piece in the collection and is viewed as the gateway into a completely different style for the artist. Combining a new found interest in postmodernism, and an old love of the 1970s aesthetic, Amanns simply created something she liked the look of. Of course some of her never ending existentialist thoughts made their way onto the canvas as well.
