The 8-pointed star shows the four seasons, with two star points for each season. Each season is illustrated by photos taken during that season. I wanted to graphically show what we are actually losing by not taking proper care of our planet. I don’t want to lose all this beauty, and my hope is you don’t either. The background photo is from NASA. Look for these animals: 7 birds, 2 bears, 1 snake, 1 squirrel, 6 cows, 5 turkeys, and 1 spider. Also bird nests, squirrel nests, mud dauber tubes, a spider’s web, 1 robin, 4 baby morning doves, and 2 ducks for a total of 22 animals. 753 photos/diamonds, 4 seasons. It took me two years to capture the pictures. As I started working with the individual star points, I quickly developed a strong respect for every quilter who has attempted to make this quilt pattern. Upon finishing the quilt, I had a definite feeling of accomplishment. I hope you enjoy looking at it as much as I enjoyed creating it.
